What’s Radio Free Roanoke?
Radio Free Roanoke is a Virginia Nonstock, 501(c)(3) corporation licensed by the FCC to broadcast on 95.7 mHz as WROE-LP FM. Our mission is to provide local media access, educational programming, and entertainment to Roanoke and the Roanoke Valley.
We began broadcasting on April 12th of 2018. We are airing local and other music as well as special interest programs, and interviews with people of notable interest. We will be adding additional programming to and by the community as time and resources permit. We will also be carrying programming of interest to the community from other LPFMs around the country and nationally syndicated programs such as Democracy Now.
